Novice attempt !

The Goodmans Magisters that I brought to Eggborough do not have the correct drive units fitted, but at the price I paid that is not a problem. So I have been mulling over a few ideas to utilise what is laying around (read cheap no cost projects !). Looking at the way the Goodmans crossover (w...

I suppose if you want to buy "brand new" and can afford all the mods the Technics DJ (  ) turntable is capable of a very good performance. But,as you say, there are several "old" turntables that can be just as good,or better. We don't get the same kind of posts here ab...

I think Bunsen is one of us Essex boys. Anyway On the way home from Owston I called in at a preserved railway with a similar name to Bunsens company and spent an hour in the late afternoon sunshine absorbing the atmosphere. It was only spoiled by the noise of a diesel Escort estate rattling o...

Owstonski got some positive comments over the Owston weekend, which was pleasing as I had not really had much time to listen at home. Colin (Topps) has kindly loaned me his spare pair of "copper" GM70s to evaluate and I hope to give them a good listen during the week ahead. I will attend to...
