Re: Dual EDS 1000 and airprodigy linear arm build

I've done the tidying up, and a load of box juggling so that the psu box has somewhere to sit. Had to pull the system apart so that I could make space. Quite a nice job to do actually, most if it hasn't been touched in a long time. Also wrote on all the plugs for various things so I know what they a...

Re: Dual EDS 1000 and airprodigy linear arm build

Got it installed and running Made a right mess so a lot of tidying up is required Also a cup of tea and a sit down I had to set it up with the deck where it was before on the big rack due to a compete lack of space then move it into the place previously occupied by the big lenco. I couldn't leave it...

Re: Dual EDS 1000 and airprodigy linear arm build

The arm has arrived Going over all the bits and pieces I'm very impressed with the build quality and attention to detail. All the 3d printed parts are very nicely done and the matt textured finish on them is really nice too. No printing lines in the parts Compared to the terminator arm it is physica...

Re: what are you doing ?

Aha! Andy Philip he does some utterly beautiful work The pencil one was I think done using a pressure vessel to force all the air bubbles out of the resin. The other interesting thing about the resin is that the dyes he uses means that you could cast a platter in resin in whatever colour you wanted....

Re: what are you doing ?

Spending. I need to stop spending, but 'why the heck not' caught up with me... In the last couple of weeks I've bought the bits and pieces necessary to build the dual motor deck, the air bearing arm, a dv20x2 cart, the eroica cart, a graham slee gram amp phono stage because it was cheap and I fanci...

Re: Woodwork terminology.

Just use a router with a 1/4 inch bit in it to make the rebate and use 6mm perspex to slot into the rebate if you are wanting perspex sides and wooden corner blocks If for example you want it to be 50mm tall, your corner block blank should be about 400mm long so you can clamp it down to a benck or w...
