Not so much blind as stumbling about in the twilight. Its a case of if this works with this, and that works with that, will this work with that? No it won't, bollocks, but I just found one of them and shoved it in instead and blimey that's amazing. How does that work? Dunno, I'll ask Nick.

Phil, you should get yourself a reel-to-reel and a couple of mics. You'd be amazed how good a very simple crossed-pair recording can sound.
