Re: 6C33C SE-OTL Project

A question for the panel if I may... This evening I was looking through the various parts I've collected/built for this project to see what I need to take it forward and it got me wondering if I could build it as an alternative 13E1 by just substituting a pair of them for the 6C33Cs in the ouput sta...

Re: The Other 13E1 SE-OTL

Two PCBs in the first picture are;
  • top-right - One of Nick's mains DC blockers
  • bottom left - A K&K Audio switch on delay, turns on B+ transformer 60secs after front panel on/off switch is pressed (blue LED built into the on/off switch turns on when B+ powers up)

Re: The Other 13E1 SE-OTL

Soldered the LED resistor into the power supply chassis this morning, checked all the connections are correct and secure, powered up, checked/tested, fitted the lid - job done!

Now for the amp chassis.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

I've now done rides of 20-25miles for seven consecutive days - I've had some leave so have been heading out between 6:30 and 7:30 every morning and mixing up the type of rides too, yesterday was a flat 20miles at 19mph and today was 21miles with 2000ft of elevation gain and a max. gradient of 14.6%....

Re: Nothing In Particular

An interesting take on electric vehicles; even just a few years ago, who would have considered converting a classic Ferrari to electric power to improve it's perfromance!

Re: Le cleach Horns

Up for sale are my le cleach mid range horns.. I'm surprised these haven't sold? I keep looking at them thinking they might be an interesting project, partnered with my lowthers, or even to explore the world of compression drivers but I'm no speaker designer and would be somewhat at a loss for what...

If you want to talk about Range and Carbon Neutral, Have a look at a few of Dave the Bass's Cycle Data Posts and his Lunch Break Images. He is doing about 50 Miles around Town on a Packet of Crisps and a Pork Pie, I don't remember seeing a bottle of Ionic Drink, with such economy with a Eco sustain...

Re: The Other 13E1 SE-OTL

Tomorrow I just need to finish hooking up the switch and LED, check everything and put the lid on it. Bugger! Did that except I couldn't find a resistor of the right sort of value for the LED current setting so still not fitted the lid! Collecting one from a mate on Thursday so tomorrow I'll move o...
