I've always found that putting them on a shelf and reading the spines from left to right worked quite well. :D that works (up to a point) on the artist and cover title - what it does not do is list the tracks for you - and when you have as many records as I do searching for a specific track by this...

fantasia on a theme by thomas tallis.....the clue, if your not familiar, is in the other youtube clips...... then there's : the lark ascending dives and lazarus all good stuff, usually found on one disc.....I can recommend the st martins in the fields version with iona brown then there's the sea.......

update not as straightforward as I'd hoped......there doesn't seem to be any lp db equivalent to cddb..... any solution along the lines I'd outlined would rely on a definitive catalogue of lp titles, much like cddb does for Cds.......can't find such a catalogue. A clunky solution would be to use cdd...
