Are these DHT's?

Cos don't think you can heat 2 DHT's from a single common source.

I could be talking cobblers of course :D

You can of course juggle around with the values as necessary.

How about this:

R1 = 10k, C = 3300pF, R2 = 22k.

As a rough guestimate it rolls off the treble from 5 kHz to about -3dB, and then R2 makes it flatten out at about that level. Or just slightly under.

Believe it or not that's complicated! Get back to you on that... NB I once tried series 1k tantalums on the output's of me phono pre, then almost promptly took 'em off again cos they knocked out most of the treble! Tho but there was also 500k tants in parallel as well (ties the o/p sides of the caps...

How's that?

Think it was something like <10mV ripple but can't remember accurately. Still needed the 1000uF added across the o/p though, maybe just cos of the long connecting cables. Presume you mean white noise, hiss, then zip. None. Even with no cap across the o/p. Pretty sure that was right. 'Scope was right...

Trying 211 driving 211 made it clear that the noise levels of DC supplies can have a huge affect. And I think the simple three pin reg is possibly the worst way of creating DC. More work to do... FWIW I went the "discretes" route simply cos of not having any high power reg IC's handy. Tur...

So I might have been a bit premature ~ thinking I'd got rid of the hum yesterday, seems that was a fluke, it had just decided to stop of its own accord for the duration. Back again this morning same as before. However must be by now pretty much impossible that it's getting in through the HT supply s...

OK but if you're hearing it from CD's as well and also if not using the main amp and speakers at all but from headphones straight off the CD player and you can still hear it, messing about with the TT isn't going to alter things much? Overall? Appendix ~ presumably the CD o/p on its own has enough g...

He's right, he's not wrong.

Oh yeah first episode of a new series. "from London to Edinburgh using a Tornado steam train, a Vincent Black Shadow motorbike and a Jaguar XK120 to discover what the programme might have been like 60 years ago."

Currently got on BBC radio Cambridgeshire, via Real Player. Very nice.

It was the earlier Radio London (Big-L) stream that was a bit sharp. That always was but, they have had a complete revamp lately and it's still tons better than what it used to be like.
