Ah well there you are. A while ago I heard that when car manufacturers (and bikes etc. obviously) chromed parts it went straight onto the steel, but only because the steel was first pickled in some sort of chemical compound that involved cyanide. Cam still come off after a while though as we know. Y...

And yes I've had perspex melt. But there's supposed to be special blades for that.
