Yes you are right it is considerably faster.

The rest will sort itself out. You get the hang of geting to the standard windows 7 type screen. I haven't figured how to close it down yet so just hold the on off button.

This conversation is interesting. I get the impression BB is being truthful and Buddy is trying to play Hendrix down.

In the end the IE which came with, was found to be in a world of it's own. Not writen by anyone who is aware of, or cares to integrate with current Flash Player for instance. (and probably lots of other incompatabilities I don't have a clue about) I suppose the fealing at Microsoft is, "we will...

What I was meaning was that the tricks Hendrix pulled out of this former influence, Buddy guy proved he could also do. It's on You Tube. Yep, but what I think Chris and I mean (not that it matters) is that Buddy was doing a lot of those tricks first. Not that I am in any way running Jimi down, far ...

that link doesn't show in my new Windows 8 bunbdled IE. Despight the fact I downloaded Flash Player.

I'd better download another browser. This is very much an evaluation version.
edit:
Yep, downloaded Chrome which took seconds, and there is the link! And I can also block adds.

Yes I know that the rock guitarists all got their influence from their fore runners especially Buddy Guy. What I was meaning was that the tricks Hendrix pulled out of this former influence, Buddy guy proved he could also do. It's on You Tube. Or to be more specific, Hendrix pulled out some new sound...

Interesting. He plays Hendrix at least as good as Hendrix if not better. Clever man.

The tone I would like is like the track "A man and the blues" Budy Guy.

Thanks Greg, sadly it doesn't seem to like the version of IE bundled with Windows 8. It says "Simple Adblock only works with Internet Explorer, you are not using Internet Explorer" even though I am deliberately only using what was bundled to keep it simple. Shame. Never mind, the operating...

OK I am running Windows 8 as a fresh install on a spare hard disk. It is very fast and pretty easy to use if going from Windows 7. I had to surf the net on phone to find a product key though. Can someone walk me through how to block adds etc in IE? Slight issue. when you open a schematic it fires it...

Yes, the one I pasted a pic of is also a Tweed. The only difference is the larger caps on yours and the earlier version has a cathode resistor bypass cap on first stage which I would have left off anyway like I always tend do whenever possible.

Otherwise identical.

Hi Paul It was Steve the shadow that wrote that about the shunt pot on his 12b4A pre amp thread I was just using his words as a reference for the JE schematic as I did change the normal 100k pot for a 100k shunt pot using 92k resistors so thought the same may apply to this amp :) Didn't realise you...

That is funny. Quote my friend the pro: "Yes in those days you could pay £150 for a good guitar and Yamaha came along with something like this for £60 and it was better." He isn't a gadget freak at all anything cheap that will earn you a living in the pro world. But he does have a Flamenco...
