Well worth registering here, if you like speaker build threads with pictures.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

I went out for just over an hour, also first time for about 6 weeks.
Felt weak - however weather lovely.
Exhausted at the end. Doesn't make sense really given the 5 hour mountain walk I did 2 weeks ago, but maybe I'm still tired from that.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Me too. Breakfast around 11:30am. Had a hard ( near-death ) walk on the mountains south of Bala yesterday. Failed to reach the summit ( 400m away ), staggered back to the car at approx 7pm.
I'm thinking of starting an 'Exercise Fail' thread.

Re: Longdog Audio TT PSU

Yes, hoping for more there.
I heard the new supply round at Lenny Edward's place a year or so back. It's a huge improvement on the standard set-up, you can hear the difference within seconds. All the bass and timing 'grunt' is there, but with lots more finesse and soundstage.

Re: Mayer Split-EQ

I guess if you use the 'stacked' transformer windings at the end, twin primaries, single secondary , then you have at least 0 and 180° as options.
Or can you stack the output without a transformer, if you use a floating ground on one band ?

Re: Mayer Split-EQ

I thought you might have solved it, it was my way of asking :)
I wonder if it uses something like the 'subtractive crossover' idea ?
But how you re-join the HF signal later, without introducing a cap or something, puzzles me.
