Don't worry just yet Ray, let's see how the testing goes at higher currents. Andrew Thanks Andrew. All the positive feedback is feeding my enthusiasm to try your modules; what plans are there for testing higher current draw? I'm planning to get my amp builds finished and tested over the Christmas b...

Andrew, I've been reflecting on the heating of my 300Bs; I think I should go for the full eight modules, just in case. What transformer voltage will I need for 5V output for a 300B?

Maybe worth getting the board in 2oz copper to help with the current requirements? Yes, good idea, I'll also see if any of the critical tracks can be beefed up too. Andrew, as per our offline 300B conversation, I'll be in for at least four. Also, considering that same conversation, and the 2A3 curr...

Just been talking to my mum, seems one of my younger brothers, who has been carrying too much weight for years, has just been diagnosed with diabetes, that and very high blood pressure! Bit of a wake-up call.

The downside of all this weight loss is that it is going to start costing money; trousers that used to be tight are now getting the other side of comfortable. Luckily I've kept a couple of pairs of 501s from when I was previously the next size down - could never quite bring myself to give them to a ...

I think me and Ray are more interested in getting results without digital equalisation and lots of SS power . I'm pretty certain it's going to sound nicer and more convincing that way . Yep, I've got the t shirt for lots of SS watts and not many dB speakers - seemed good at the time but ultimately ...

This has been a tough week, despite sticking to my regime progress has been slow and there have been temptations a plenty. I expected a rocky patch or two at some point but hope I can get through it quickly. This weeks numbers: Start weight: 17st Last Sat: 15st 4lbs Today: 15st 2lbs Total loss: 1st ...

...i m sure the well run in sound is the one that Ray knows Quite so Steve, I worked them hard on an old solid state amp for a while when I first got them. I love the sounds they deliver and my criticism of my current speakers would be around the bottom end where the horn is running things, it just...

And having mentioned Lowther America, these are the bass units specified for their large open baffle, partnered with PM5s as I recall.

Thanks James. Just pulling together the general direction, things seem to be settling on a Quasar variant with my Lowther EX4s coupled with the Supravox bass unit. I've started sketching out the 'cabinet' in a CAD package to get cutting templates but that has raised a question... If I've understood ...
