Who knew, Basil Brush was loosely based on Terry Thomas
I thought that was common knowledge.

Well if its a twin, so I assume one bang per revolution, so thats 4000/60 or 65Hz, wavelength of 65Hz is 5m, so quarter wavelength 1.5m. Maybe.

I tried the optical cable into the LG TV digital outlet, and now I get proper sound on HD as well.
PS Sky box - TV connection is HDMI.

Is the box set up to output pcm audio?
I've now tried the optical connection - no difference.

On the Sky box sound settings the optical output can be configured as "Dolby" and "Normal", both settings have the same result.

Unfortunately the Sony amp has no HDMI input.

SKY sound problem.

I've rigged up some speakers for the TV.

Digital output on Sky HD box (RCA terminal) to Bushmaster DAC to Sony amp and inexpensive speakers.

Works really well, EXCEPT on any Sky HD channels - live or recorded, when all I get is interference.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Re: Nothing In Particular

If you want to talk about Range and Carbon Neutral, Have a look at a few of Dave the Bass's Cycle Data Posts and his Lunch Break Images. He is doing about 50 Miles around Town on a Packet of Crisps and a Pork Pie, I don't remember seeing a bottle of Ionic Drink, with such economy with a Eco sustain...

Re: Nothing In Particular

I would like to see fuel cell electric vehicles become more prominent. Why? Because (to me) it seems like a better idea than plug in electrics. But only if there is an infrastructure to support refueling. I know that making Hydrogen is not environmentally friendly, but neither are some forms of ele...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Thats when you put up solar panels and or a windmill. Much more possible than building your own refinery. I really hope it's that simple. Perhaps they (the government) will enable all vehicles with a "black box" and charge us all per mile travelled. So that's your argument against electric vehicles...

Re: Nothing In Particular

When (not if ) the government find a way to tax motorists on the electricity used to charge plug in electric cars the cost savings over petrol/diesel may not be so enticing. Thats when you put up solar panels and or a windmill. Re: Nothing In Particular

The battery has a 100,000 mile warranty, guaranteed minimum 70% retention of battery capacity. The battery in the I-Pace is covered by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, and will be replaced by Jaguar if the battery performance (essentially the maximum range of the vehicle) drops by more than 30%...

Headphones.

When I renewed my BT contract, and upgraded my broadband, BT offered me a free gift. I chose a pair of noise cancelling JBL headphones model Live650BT. They came the other day and I'm trying them out. As the connector is 3.5mm I can only use them on my computer, or Squeezebox touch, but I've ordered...
