I'd rather have Nippers flashing nose than artificial snow.

Phil, have you been along to this place?

No Ray, I had not been aware of it.

Model railways really don't do it for me, I prefer the real thing.

Nice work Ray ! - work the system :D Glad to see it has gears. Saw some young fella riding up Vale Street ( to Denbigh town centre ) today on Fixed - looked like he was pulling the stem out of the frame !

Re: Nothing In Particular

Well done Chris, I liked that - a lot. :D

Having heard some quality brass bands live over the last few years (all Yorkshire based) I thought it was an excellent performance.

Re: Dual rail +/- 80v power supply.

I'm back on the case with this 811a in A2.

I sat looking at my previous efforts to make this +/- 80v power supply, but re-reading this topic has put me back on track. :)

...- problem is my listening is far too small so I'm afraid I'm out :( Yup, so are mine. They're in the 'Project Room' at the moment, you have to step over them to get in! I don't care. they sound awethumne. The room downstairs is probably too small aswell but I really-really-really wanted them. Du...

I will have them if someone else has not got their first, but collection may be a issue.
I still have the boxes that Richard used to pack them in Nick, and I should be up in West Yorkshire for a couple of days over the Christmas hols, so if you are about I could drop them off.

Re: Quad ELS 57s for Sale

Re the ESL57 electrostatic loudspeakers. As good as they are, the logistics of a pair (the ESL57) and a 55" television just don't work in my living room, so I've made the difficult decision to move them on. :( They cost me £280 from Richard in March 2018, and I would let them go on here for the same...

I strongly suspect, that the excellent performance of this OTL in my system may be down to the flat impedance curve of the Fane 12-250-TC driver. It is a very easy load.
Is the 15" version (that Ant uses) as easy a load ?

Re: Remember These?

Ah, these are 2.4R Welwyn 5%, but they only look like 1/2w or possibly 1w.

I've got several hundred of the perishers.

Re: Remember These?

What wattage 2.4R resistors are you using Steve ?

I should have a bag of 2.4R which were ex MOD from Chatham Dockyard, some were close tolerance.
