One can still have barbies at home as long as you don't invite non residents.

It is rare indeed to just have one mouse!
Was it you that declared war on a mouse once in Brighton?
Was the mouse in Brighton just the once, or did the offence start when Andrew got there ?

Some sodding great big bumblebees around too - queens looking for nesting sites mainly...
Yes, a few of those cruising around here too. I heard one through the double-glazed kitchen window at my computer, I first thought it was in the house.
Bees using your computer ?

Re: Resto-mod cars.

The one above is a 1932, but I think the 1937 models look better.

Re: Resto-mod cars.

I'm not normally into American hot-rods, but a not too excessive external appearance Ford 5 window coupe might be nice.

Something like this.

Re: tax codes

My last tax code was 491L for my main private pension, and BR (basic rate) for my tiny private pension.

The state pension is taxable but they use that as my allowance.

£12500 (allowance) - £7585 (state pension) = £4915 (491L tax code)

2019-2020 figures.

Re: Corona Virus Lock Down 'Rant' Thread.

I dare say the situation in Greater Manchester is echoed elsewhere, and it's only going to get worse over Easter.

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

If you've got enough of a hole to use a good sized stud extractor then a bit of heat works wonders. Thing is you need the heat concentrated only on the boss, so a blowtorch may not be the best way. An oxy/acetylene flame is better as the heat is more intense (hotter) and can be kept more local. Pity...

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

Dave (DTB), don't know if you've tackled the broken bolt on the Continental yet, but I've found my 6mm carbide tipped hardplate drill. In the post if you want. PS it's 90mm long. Or, if you need a different size. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TCT-Drill-Bits-Tungsten-Carbide-Tip-Precision-Ground-Hardpla...

Re: Corona Virus Lock Down 'Rant' Thread.

Makes me MAD !!! "Greater Manchester Police has warned people not to breach lockdown rules over Easter after it had to break up 660 parties last weekend. Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said "each and every one of us need take this seriously". There were 1,132 coronavirus-related breaches reported betwe...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Being released and then eaten by a predator is natural, helping other animals to survive.

At least being free gives them a chance.
