Just out of interest, why didn't you get an SSD?
Didn't need one, and a 1TB too expensive.

A normal drive does what Jean wants.

Re: Nothing In Particular

Jeans Lenovo laptop went on a go slow last week. I tried all the things I knew to rectify the situation, and after all those failed I swapped over the hard drive from an old laptop and that worked OK. So, I ordered a new hard drive from Ebuyer and it was delivered this morning. Using my no 2 PC I fi...

Ok Mark, that phrase it a tad trite.
I'm told that John Stewart Mill wasn't all that impressed with your amplifiers, either.
I don't know who he is Mark, but it's OK for anyone not to like any of my amplifiers. :)

Re: Corona Virus Lock Down 'Rant' Thread.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Ok Mark, that phrase it a tad trite. To me, it means "good men who are (or were) in a position that would enable them to do something if they were not afraid of the consequences". Like (as an example) those who turn a...

Re: Corona Virus Lock Down 'Rant' Thread.

What is the difference between what I said, and what you said then Nick ? :?

Me - "Do not worry about things you have no control over."

Nick - "to not worry about things you can't control"

PS I also contacted my MP (by Email) yesterday. But I'm not worrying about it.

Paul, I wondered if you knew about Pete Milletts A2 buffer (source follower) circuit and the PCB he does ? http://www.pmillett.com/A2_buffer.html https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-PCB-MOSFET-source-follower-buffer-for-class-A2-drive/161190964527?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Re: Loadline Tools

It seems for GK71, that in single ended triode mode, it assumes the ultralinear tap on the OPT is used, but my OPT does not have ultralinear taps. :?

you put it in place of the 4000 down where the input boxes are.
I did that, but did not see how to reset the graph.

I think I've got in now, pretty neat site. :D

Re: Loadline Tools

I had a quick look at GK71 in triode mode, and it seems they suggest the load as 4K, and I can't see a way to alter it to 5K, as that is the OPT I use. :?

Just waiting to see what the slimy little bar steward called Cummings has to say for himself...
I wasted 5 minutes of my life watching him, then went off to do something useful.

Was he right, or wrong ? I don't really care.

What would I have done in the same situation ? Don't know.
