Re: Nothing In Particular

Maybe something more than ‘nothing in particular’. BBC horizon on the insidious nature of Facebook, well worth a watch. The problem with Facebook is Facebook itself, pull the plug and it solves their ‘problems’ in an instant. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0006w19/horizon-2019-2-inside-the-s...

Re: My Next Big Ride

I managed 15 miles on my e-bike! Well chuffed....followed by 3 pints of foaming ale

But I now have a battery charging issue so won't be going anywhere until fixed :(

Re: When is a pie not a pie?

Probably had the best pie I’ve ever tasted yesterday, puff pastry topping and the dish was lined with pastry as well :D The Crown and Tuns is located in Deddington 6 miles south of Banbury, well worth a visit. Prices are somewhat eye watering but the portion size and quality justify them. Two pints ...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Sprayed the rest of the garage, it’s nearly a triple length garage and full of junk, anyhow seem to have got more of them. The spray works incredibly quickly. Re: Nothing In Particular

Started to notice small piles of sawdust on my car when parked up in the garage. One or two at first and then a lot more. Uh oh....woodworm. Closer inspection and the little blighters are feasting on a cross support beam and the roof. Sprayed the infected areas and areas adjacent with woodworm treat...

Seconded, a great day even though I had to depart a bit earlier. The speed controller was intriguing and I would like to try it with my Lenovo at some point. Many thanks Steve for a great day again.

Re: Owston '19 what are you bringing

A much great concern to public health and safety surely is the likely hood of Phil playing more Val Doonican than is tolerable for our sanity and wellbeing...it’s a serious public health risk that we should all be aware of...Nick is there a clean up kit for that? :D :D :D

Re: Autoitalia 2019 Brooklands (pic heavy)

To be fair most cars from the 60s and 70s where rot boxes! A RH drive Flavia Coupe is a rare beast indeed these days. Would have taken a ton of effort to make the body shell good, it may have been worth it though as the prices of really good cars can fetch over 30k today.

Ray, that’s a Lancia Montecarlo also know as an x1/20, the larger more upmarket sister car to the x1/9. Great cars.
