Re: How could anybody be THAT good at ANYTHING ??

<sound FX> Buzzer Technically over ruled! :) Just to borrow that. Thats only true if we are in a equally tempered world. If you want to spend a fun 10 minutes, start with A at 440Hz, and go up around the cycle of fifths until you get back to A, but use the justly tuned perfect fifth ratio of 3:2 dr...

His trip to Barnard Castle was apparently a way of checking if his eyesight had recovered enough to be able to drive back to London.
Cooooooool logic!

I'm going to book a day off tomorrow and drink 68 pints of beer to see if it would still make me drunk :)

Re: How could anybody be THAT good at ANYTHING ??

So playing it by your definition it's 7 notes ... we just happen to call one A and the other A# or Bb depending on how we feel. <sound FX> Buzzer Technically over ruled! :) The A# and Bb examples will sound the same natch because they have the same frequency. IMO their moniker is not about how we '...

Re: How could anybody be THAT good at ANYTHING ??

btw: my 4 string EADG Fender Jazz has a million more notes than DTB's( some of the notes don't even have names) Ha, its Fretless innits? If yes, then it deffo can play a more accurate Major 3rd interval than any of my basses can. In our 'western tempered ' tuning system Maj3 intervals are slightly ...

Re: How could anybody be THAT good at ANYTHING ??

He now plays a 7 string guitar - even more notes. <Sound FX> buzzer.... Sort of 'Over-ruled' ! Not as many 'new' notes as you'd think sometimes. It depends on the tuning. For example using regular stacked 4th tuning intervals, a 5 string bass with a Low 'B' added below the usual EADG tuning fo...

Tits! I'd forgotten about them, yes, we've got a pair of Blue Tits constantly feeding their babes, they've nested in the box I made for the Mega-Shed. Video footage -> https://i.imgur.com/T9Cp7yh.mp4 And we've also got a litter of Fox cubs nom-nomming away early in the mornings... https://i.imgur.co...

Re: what are you doing ?

Interesting that you use Niger seed - we gave up in the end as even the finches that are supposed to like them go for sunflower hearts anyway. We've had a Niger seed bird feeder for about 6 years. No bird ever went near it for about 5 years, bah, we thought, must be our crap air quality and pollute...

Re: Something stirs in the Undergrowth

Btw - that track is awfully mixed, the bass is to hot, and dominates the sound. Oooffff! ^^^ Overruled  FWIW. I think that track is mixed excellently and 'fits' the instrumental make up of that song, bass guitar and kick drum are locked and mixed forward yes but that's what holds the whole son...

Ta, that's kind of you to say Steve. It could be be the same amp. I've done a couple using the lazy boy bench psus. I did 6C45 interstage 300B SE too which we used to experiment with different DHT heater supply options on the fly. That amp is waiting for the DC coupled 5687 front end to be grafted o...
