Re: Latest vinyl 'finds'.

Not many people know this but there's only one Flamenco song in existence!... You know the one.... starts slow, then builds up, then there's a tricky rhythmic bit, then the hand clappin' and foot stompin' starts and then it goes a bit quicker then it ends in a maraca thrash. Same song, every time in...

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

Other than writing 'American Pie'.... whose Don? Don McClean who lived in Dunstable was one of the earliest members of the present club and was the second club secretary after me. Aah, I see, ta for explaining. I'm not that familiar with many members of the REOC, I've only met the local Kent Branch...

Ooo, that could be a bit of a bruiser. Fun though but demanding I'd imagine.

Dave has photobucket allowed use of their images in forums again ? Or are you subscribed?

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Stopped for tea & soup at Headcorn Aerodrome - just lovely. Like something out of the Dambusters movie - old wooden huts for the cafe with a Spitfire outside - there were two Spitfires doing some filming - one was repeatedly doing low passes at full throttle over the aerodrome and the crew were fit...

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

Yeah, he rode for a team based in Sidcup IIRC. By his own admission he wasn't very good at it but had a good time doing that and trials, hence the reason he got run over occasionally... he used to fall off a bit :)

I don't know what bike he rode TBH Popz, I'll ask Mum, she might know.

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

Yups, my dad always rated SM as a top rider. One of my Dad's claim-to-fame was being accidentally ran over by SM at a scrambles event they were both competing in.

Other than writing 'American Pie'.... whose Don?

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

There was an RE ride-in at Sammy Miller's Museum last weekend, I'd never been before, it was good. The owner still does workshop tours in person, a humorous, informative and passionate speaker he is too. https://i.imgur.com/nL2M0y5.jpg The museum has some amazing bikes.
