Yes. BDP = Bluray Disc Player.
They play CDs, DVD(video)s and Bluray discs.
In fact in my experience, as transports they play CDs better than do similarly priced CDPs. Why this might be the case? I don't know.

New to Audio-talk. Seems nice here.

Music-wise I like jazz, female vox, quality hip-hop and 60s & 70s pop.

System-wise it's a Pioneer PL-71 with Decca Super Gold and a Sony BDP into a MuFi Dac.
Amplifiers, cables and speakers are all NVA.

I've noticed that of the players I've tried, BDP sound better through my DAC (Musical Fidelity A3 24 192k upsampler) than do CDPs via (all via coax digi outputs). Has anyone else noticed this?
