Re: Heads-up - Daphile

Shouldn't the title be 'Head-Less'

Shame it doesn't run on a Raspberry PI as old PC's/laptops tend to be big and noisy (plus I don't have any in the house as all in use).
Does sound to be a good solution though.

Looking forward to your journey.

Re: A Bluetooth speaker

Incorporate a Raspberry Pi loaded with piCorePlayer (which can operate as both server and client simultaneously) with the relevant LMS plugins installed. piCorePlayer will announce itself over the network, and a smartphone app can control it all over WiFi. You could have it fronting up a valve ampe...

Re: Quad ELS 57s for Sale

Always wanted a pair after hearing some many years back - problem is my listening is far too small so I'm afraid I'm out :(

Enjoy them Nick.

Re: Tablet help.

Yes to both - can run WiFi with no 3G card and if out and about and a SIM installed then you can also surf the net.

But - the spec is poor from the description so would continue to look.

Re: Digital.

NAS Drive failed recently but backup the data to a couple of USB drives. These now attached to my router and use an IQAudio PI-DAC+ running on a PI 2B+. Music streamer software is Volumio which I have had no issues with. Connect to a Pure Audio A30 then through Jenna speakers. Also use Spotify eithe...

Re: yet another boring one trick pony turntable build

That arm is an impressive structure and if it sounds as could as it looks and also the description as to how it works it should be brilliant.
Would not even attempt to DIY the arm and I think the retail price if it ever went to market would be well out of my league!!
