Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Punctures can be pesky and peculiar. Back in my youth, having left London and moved to a comfortable warm hole in Bag End (Lewes). Onecweek I had four punctures; two the same day just a few miles out towards Hobbiton, just far enough each time to get a little cross about having to walk home, in cycl...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Good but irritating question... all this incompatability. Campag was ( is?) a bugger for all its many models and upgrades just like Leica ( dont get me started). Back in Harry Holdsworth's era Campag was Record or perhaps novo record. I knew where I was in those days.... Simplex. Couldn't afford the...

Re: Florian

I saw Krafters in Victoria. Loved Autibahn , was that back in 72? Saw Tomita in glorious 4 channel at Hammersmith Odeon, never got to see Jean Michel Oxygene. But what an era of music. Florian was a great showroom dummy. Made me almost want to go to Dusseldorf.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Hmmmmm the campag cassette wont index. I have been there and humiliated by a bike engineer who has subsequently become a good friend. Dtb would suggest...... fixie. I'm very unhappy about what I thought was a perfect late 60s Peugeot ( Tom Simpson) only to find the front changer isn't Simplex after ...

Re: 801a maximised class A2 excursion.

This reminds me.... I've rigged up a setup for 801s etc ( as I have a few if this family) ef37s at the ready but started with 6sn7srpp driver to get going in A1. Then the plan was a bias on the grid and bingo, into A2 I was to go.... but I didn't. It's a thought though. I cant help thinking that Pau...

Re: what are you doing ?

Yes, best wishes and more. My stepmother shuffled off this mortal coil just before the shutdown...The Royal Berks' first. I'd arranged a very complicated way of getting my Dad to the funeral but no, it was not allowed. The three step sisters managed to get to the funeral and that felt right and prop...

Sitting in the sunshine swathed in hat and scarf sipping hot coffee. I long to see the sea though. Things could be worse.

Best wishes to all and everyone.
