Re: Phono bake-off

He may be a bit annoying by stating his truth is the truth Yes, but just the once would be fine. It's the constant repetition of the same subject that grates. It brings to mind one of those nut jobs that wears a sandwich board stating that the world is going to end in 10 minutes and feeling the nee...

Re: Phono bake-off

I am due a visit to some friends in Manchester so I could kill two birds with one stone as it were :D
Can't say i've got anything of interest to bring, but again it'd be nice to listen to some other gear in a relaxed atmosphere.

Re: Phono bake-off

If they can't feed here they will go elsewhere. Lets hope so! Anyway, i would have dearly loved to have been there (if for nothing else to hear a decent R2R against vinyl) but Daves place is a bridge too far from Suffolk. So rather than trying to source a 2nd hand unit and run the risk of it happening again I may as well go the Doc mod route, which will at least save...

Re: B&O Beovox S45-2 help

Thanks Shane.
I'll do as you say ref the testing and go from there, but i'd like to get used to them before any modding begins.
I've never repaired a speaker before, so it should be a steep learning curve

B&O Beovox S45-2 help

Sorry to jump right in on my 2nd post here and ask for advice, but this seems the place to ask. I picked up a pair of B&O Beovox S45-2 speakers today for the eye watering sum of £10. They’re a little bit scratched but otherwise look decent enough and should clean up fairly well. The one that doe...

Good evening

I arrived here from some posts i saw on HFS and if i'm honest i'm looking to learn a few things. Most of my gear is NVA which i'm sure needs no introduction, but for some unexplained reason i've started collecting speakers :-| One pair of which i need some help with, so i'll start a thread in the ho...
