The slashdot link shows a couple of things to do to fix the missing ocx. Its either in the syswow directory and needs registering, or if it...

Re: Building the uTracer
Their system is now a shaddow of the xt system they were using Well, that's down to incompetence on bg's part then. I don;t often support MS for admittedly mostly historic reasons now, but the one thing they are great at is providing forward compatibility and if they do retire an api they signal so...

He would be opening a world of pain if he did. USB to RS232 adapters are cheap and ubiquitous anyway.ronald is determined not to change from rs232 connection.

Re: Building the uTracer
Any clue why it doesn't run? Most likely a missing dll I would guess. Does it install? If it does, maybe try running a dependency walker to see what is missing.

Yep, and also, the NVA amp seem to have a history of failing if you squint at them, and driving the output to one of the rails may count as that.

Well, the best PP valve amp I can remember hearing was Marks build of Lynns Aurora. But not sure I could justify the cost of the iron and valves.

I said to Mike, “what is going to happen to our valves. (I meant will the go up i. Price of will they go down as the generation still interested die off. “ we are neare that day when we’ve ever been. Mike replied “we will run out of them”. Whats actually happened is as the price of valves have gone...

Re: Distortion 2 to 3 W DHT,IDHT,Multigrid idht.
But its better than knowing nothing. Is it though? I can see some merit for 2nd, but for 3rd and 4th, knowing nothing is to my mind, better than knowing something that is likely to be wrong, but not knowing if its wrong, and by how much. And of course thats before you ask if knowing 2nd-4th is enou...

Not much detail, he doesn't derive the equations he uses. I would guess, its making a very big assumption about the curve between the 5 points he takes as the values that get plugged into the equations. But irrespective of the rigor of those equations, the fact that the small changes you made to the...
