Re: ebay sign in

Only slightly relevant, but similar, so I'll mention it here; an hour or so ago I was on the Rapid Electronics site, not been on for ages, it's all been redesigned and different looking, I kept getting a farking pop-up message asking what sort of customer am I, before can continue or even log in! Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

There are indeed such things. Almost like a string vest kind of thing, but holds elbow / shoulder pads and so on.

My jacket has zipped vents, and I removed the lining. However if the general air feels like it's just come off the Sahara, nothing helps very much. Like standing in front of a hair drier.

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

Two more I've just finished: Monmouth to Dinas Island, Sunday 24th June 2018 Timelapse, 18 minutes. WRqtfwZ3kJk Wednesday 27th June 2018, Dinas Island to Anglesey Timelapse, 18 minutes. MtDh62TlAFA NB: Dinas Island is actually a small headland just northeast along the coast from Fishguard. -

Re: Nothing In Particular

Yikes. Reminds me of a logo design on a carrier bag from a chippy in Anglesey years ago, that I still remember as being a bit creepy. It was a simple cartoon type drawing of a inanely grinning fish lying across the top of a plate of chips. What's wrong with this picture? A. It shouldn't stil...

Re: PCL86 SE Ultralinear Monos

Gain of a triode does not increase significantly with large increases of anode resistor value. Ergo I don't see much point (IMHO).

Re: PCL86 SE Ultralinear Monos

PS: found the circuit on National Valve Museum site: http://www.r-type.org/articles/art-003g.htm Yep, that's where I found it. The current amp uses 100K on the triode section, with no cathode bypass. No tone controls of course :) Quool. http://livinginthepast-audioweb.co.uk/imagex/misc/th_thumbsup....

Re: Negative grid current WTF?

Well done sir. I'd like to have a beginners go at working out what frequency the curve on your scope shows, in the hope the more experienced folk will put me right and I'll learn from it. Your time dial is set to 2ms (2nd picture), so each small block represents 2ms. The curve is approx 3.5 blocks ...
