Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

http://livinginthepast-audioweb.co.uk/imagex/misc/icon_lurker.gif Lurking. I did a Bantam sort of like this once (well twice actually), wasn't as tidy as this tho. (Especially the first time) I only found out recently that honing a cylinder is about making a slightly roughened surface that can hold...

Re: Remote control suggestions

This was the type I last used. https://www.hificollective.co.uk/potentiometers/coupler.html Next time I'd use a piece of rubber (or similar) tube. Ta, yep looks just like what RS stocked. Re rubber tubes etc., didn't have luck with those sorts of ideas in the past. Depends how stiff the shaft is to...

Re: Remote control suggestions

You know what I did think could use a spindle coupler (simpler!) however the control direction would then be "backwards"

And on the subject of spindle couplers, these seem to be like rocking horse droppings lately? I can remember getting packs of 5 from RS? But can't find them now?

Re: LT Spice Basics

Yes the model as a triode is because wiring a pentode model as a triode gives unrealistic behaviour. Re sceen current, yes I get screen current but it does not equate to that of a real valve. this is something I've found especially frustrating. E.g. I set up a text book circuit for a EF86, the anode...

Re: LT Spice Basics

How you getting on with version XVII ? There were lots of complaints about it on the Yahoo LTspice user group. Things just not working properly or not as before. Might have been sorted by now, but is why I'm still sticking to version IV. Coupla notes re using the valve models. It is quite easy to 'b...

That thar looks very like a servo-driven Alps pot, so OK if you like Alps pots. :D

I remember seeing about the servo drive option in Alps datasheet.
