Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Two quick questions. 1. Recommendations for a bike stand for when you're work on the bike - i.e. wheels off the ground... 2. Recommendations for wall-mounted bike rack - we now have three road bikes in the "boot room" and the cats are ... revolting... I need to put the bikes up on the wall... (Indi...

17.5mph, nice av. speed there for an hour. Nice cycling Ray.
Arr, not bad for someone of my age! It was on the winter bike too, with 32mm tyres so I expect to do it faster on the new bike in due course.

Nick, I think you'll enjoy the Vitus if you get one, it rides well.

I'll take a look. No idea what they're worth, except I know I bought them from new and haven't used them. Of course I might not find them, I'm not the most organised of people.
OK lets see if you find them and take it frm there

I'm pretty sure I have a pair of EH octal 6H30pi. Let me know if you want me to hunt through my boxes.
If you have pair that you don't need I'll be interested in taking them off your hands. PM me with what you want for them if you can locate them. Cheers

Re: The "Not OTL" 13E1 Build

I think I have some 6H30pi. Let me know if you have trouble sourcing, though I think they are plentiful yes? Still made? Cheers. the B9 version are easy to get hold but the octal version, which I need for my chassis are less common but obtainable. I think EH still make them. Apart fron the envelope...

Great stuff Steve.

Just looking to order some octal 6H30pi valves; I had forgotten how hungry the filaments are so l may need a bigger transformer too!

Re: Finished and working - 12 valve all DHT PP 26-71a-45

We bought Icon Audio cabs (folded horn in a tower with a rear exit for the bass) with DX2 units originally, since upgraded to DX4. Geoff just recently bought and built 15" subs which replaced the B&W 610 units we previously used. We have 2 each and they integrate really smoothly. I'll get the detai...

I see you use Lowthers; maybe from the sublime to the ridiculous for your next project with a 6C33C or 13E1 SE-OTL build?

Re: The Other 13E1 SE-OTL

A parcel arrived from Poland today. They are audio grade transformers from Toroidy. Big one is 300VA 0-120V for B+. Smaller is 120VA 2 * 0-12V for 13E1 filaments.

Re: Remember These?

Yes, based on my limited grasp of the electronic theory pertaining I think that retaining the 6SN7 front end will entail the higher voltage supply for it. My thinking therefore is to reserve the 6SN7 stuff I already have for a 6C33C project usinng Wolfgang's schematic and to follow your lead for the...

Steve, apart from changing to the 6H30pi and using the same power supply for driver and output stages (with the commensurate component value updates) is this your final schematic? Cheers
