Electro-Harmonix 6H30Pi Valves

I thought I would offer these here before resorting to ebay... One pair of matched Electro-Harmonix 6H30Pi gold pin valves - boxed and never been plugged into a socket! I purchased them to use as the input/drivers for my 13E1 build but I've switched to using 6SN7s Purchased as a matched pair from Ho...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Cheers chaps.

Mark, I've never thought of you as a 'lazy sod' but it'll be interesting to hear about your wanderings - and some pictures would be nice.

Hi Adrian, I know someone who can make use of it and has the skills to delve into the problem. I'll need to ask you to post it though.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

I did a 20 mile there and back ride this morning, dry but strong westerly wind; slow first 10miles straight into the wind but flew after the turn. Second 10miles averaged 22mph and at one point I was maintaining more than 27mph on the level!

Thanks Ed, that was well worth spending a bit of time watching. I'm going to have to watch some of their other videos too.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Nice riding BTW. Cheers Mr. B. Including my commutes, which total 35miles a week, I've been averaging over 100miles a week since early summer - it's paying off too as I just keep setting PRs on Strava. BTW, I forgot the numbers for this morning; Departed: Dec 07, '19, 10:19AM Starts in: Taunton Dea...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

I've tried not to be too boorish by posting lots of rides but just for a change... I did a good lumpy 40mile loop up onto the Blackdown Hills this morning. https://i.imgur.com/6G1CtH6.jpg It was dry(!) though overcast and breezy but the trip was brightened up when I got to Dunkeswell airfield; https...

Re: MY own OB speaker project

OK Colin, thanks for the update; I understand why you've 'parked' the project and maybe I should have followed up more at the time. It's not time for a speaker project yet so probably best if I open a new thread when I get around to it; I can borrow from your experience with this project but I think...

Re: MY own OB speaker project

Seeing the recent fluury of posts about the Monacor SP-310CX Coaxial Driver MLTL's reminded me of this project. Just wondering what became of it?

Some time I still plan to try the OB road and had this as a possible candidate. I'm wondering about an active crossover then flea power OTL amps.

Re: Nothing In Particular

A question for Ray P, did the earth move last night ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-50682105 Well. it seems that I slept through it but it has been quite the topic of conversation at work today. Although it's a minor event on the richter scale people have been saying that the...

My head doesn't seem to like the idea of running 2 DHTs with one PS, I can't see how that would work.
Ah! I had assumed indirectly heated valves so a single supply isn't such a good idea.

Re: 6v smps

Assuming you're looking to power two 6.3V filaments, you could use a 12V SMPS and run the filaments in series? This Mean Well SMPS looks like it'll do the trick and the output voltage is adjustable between 10.8VDC and 13.2VDC; https://uk.farnell.com/mean-well/rs-25-12/power-supply-ac-dc-12v-2-1a/dp/...
