Re: Liquid Battery

So that means pumping half a ton or so of whatever this stuff is out of and in to the car at each fill-up, and increasing the fuel storage capacity at filling stations by a factor of ten, plus some clever logistics around storing “charged” and “spent” fuel. Big problem but not insuperable. What is t...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Dropped Plus.net ADSL to my workshops too, so now using the house connectivity and bridging it to the office/workshops using Ubiquity NanoStation M5s - neat bits of kit, incredibly fast and not very expensive at all - will work up to 10km (just about enough for the garden :)). Two or three calls today from customers whose routers had been killed by lightning strikes.

Tonight we have the longest lunar eclipse of the century, Mars at closest approach, with Saturn, Jupiter and Venus all visible at the same time. And it’s the first cloudy night for weeks 😟

Anyway, after 3 days of living on water, and the occasional bit of toast, I'm actually feeling better now. It...

Strange how these days Richard mainly seems to upset people with no imagination, poor English and a burning desire to use foul language on the internet.

Re: Latest vinyl 'finds'.

The Nice was Keith Emerson’s band before ELP. Good stuff, without the pomp and excesses that came later. No Moog either, just a Hammond organ and piano or two.
